About Us
Our Mission
It is our mission to obtain accurate, complete, and timely payment from all third party payers and patients for our clients using state-of-the-art technology, proven billing methodologies, effective control systems, and highly trained staff while adhering to the highest moral, ethical, legal, and practical business standards of our industry.Billing Methodologies
Over its history, InHealth has continuously refined its billing methodologies and operating systems in order to achieve the best results possible for our clients. Core elements to our success include:- Prompt processing of encounter data and submission of insurance claims (typically within 24 hours);
- A function-based and systematic approach to accounts receivable management that ensures all necessary billing, payment and follow-up activities are performed in a timely manner throughout each claim's life cycle.
- Each client has uniquely assigned Client Managers and Billing Supervisors that are responsible for daily client communications and issues resolution.
Performance
Today InHealth clients enjoy the benefits of accounts receivable management that on average rank better than the top 25th percentile of multi-specialty group practices nationwide as surveyed by the Medical Group Management Association for Days Revenue in AR.- "payday" comes faster than 75% of all group practices in the U.S.
- cash flow is more consistent and reliable
- elimination of "lost" collections that are the inevitable result of poor AR management
- first year collections typically improve between 5-10% for new clients with established practices
Cost and Value
Most practice billing operations are successful in collecting the first 65-75% of charges processed. However, unlike most practices a majority of InHealth's billing costs are applied toward successful collection of the final 25-35% of charges that remain unpaid after initial claims submission or are inappropriately denied for reasons that can be challenged. By focusing on timely and aggressive "followup" we are able to generate higher collections and often at lower costs for most practices.Other benefits of our services include having Certified Coders to ensure billing accuracy, daily deposits of practice receipts, relieving practice of phone call volume relating to patient account inquiries, monthly reporting geared to the specific needs of each client and ad hoc data mining and analysis as requested.
Our value is enhanced by the fact that we utilize one of the highest rated practice management systems available. InHealth implemented NextGen Healthcare System's EPM (Enterprise Practice Management) software in 2003. For a modest investment, clients can have secure access to their accounts receivable data and utilize other system capabilities such as scheduling and reporting.
Physician's Future / Our Future
Physician practice incomes are increasingly being squeezed by higher operating costs that cannot be passed onto patients. Existing challenges to receiving payment from government and commercial payers are being aggravated by new regulations and claims processing requirements. "Lost" collections can no longer be tolerated if physicians are going to maintain or hope to improve profitability in the ever-changing healthcare industry.InHealth believes more and more physician practices will consider outsourcing their billing and EMR as a part of their future business strategies. InHealth is well positioned and confident in our ability to provide exceptional results for our clients for many years to come.
